Principal's Message

I am delighted to be Principal of McKinley K-8 School where our mission is to provide each student with an outstanding education. At McKinley we support a tradition of excellence in the visual and performing arts, while continuing to improve the academic achievement of all students. The key to our success in these endeavors is the involvement of faculty, parents and students in creating a vital and stimulating school environment.

McKinley’s continued success is predicated on a strong belief in the following philosophical foundations:

Students learn best when excellence is expected of them and they are encouraged to achieve it.
Classroom instruction is effective when student expectations are high, standards clear and accountability and evaluations fair and consistent.
Meaningful learning takes place in a disciplined yet nurturing learning environment.
Parents are our partners in educating students.

McKinley students have shown growth in all areas as evidenced by our test scores. I congratulate our entire teaching and support staff for making consistent gains. It takes teamwork and collaboration to build such a great school.

Serving our ethnically diverse students is my passion. It is my firm belief that each and every student can learn and reach their full potential.
