Welcome to McKinley School -- A 2007 Title 1 Achievement School and 2006 Bravo Award Winner!
Library
The McKinley School library is located at the south end of the C building (middle school) and is home to the historical Frank Tolles Chamberlin mural "Education".

Kindergarten through 4th grade students go to the library on a weekly basis, while 5th through 8th visit on a bi-weekly basis. Students are able to check out books and utilize the library’s computers for research.

Our library coordinator, Christina Perez, can always use a hand processing new books, preparing projects, re-shelving books, and supervising students during classroom library time. Contact Christina Perez in the McKinley library, Rm. 124.

Library Committee

We have recently launched a new Library Steering Committee, which will oversee strengthening the McKinley School library. Ms. Debbie Gangi-Hall, one of McKinley’s outstanding 5th grade teachers, is chairing this committee.

There are five meetings, which have been tentatively scheduled for the year:
  • January 9th
  • February 6th
  • March 6th
  • April 17th
  • June 5th
The meetings will be from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in our library. We are very excited to bring together so much expertise as we move toward creating a state-of-the art library at McKinley! These meetings are open to any other interested parents, staff, and community members.
